Harvard
Square's original hotel, The Sheraton Commander Hotel in Boston, opened in 1927. The
Commander is situated on historic Cambridge Common, near the site
where George Washington took control of the Continental Army in 1775. Our
history does not stop there. In our George Washington Ballroom, John
F. Kennedy announced his candidacy for the Congress of the United States,
and some years later, his nephew, Joseph Kennedy Jr. announced
his candidacy in the same magnificent ballroom. |
